1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba J7+, IRobot's most advanced robot to date is the Roomba J7+. The most significant innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. This uses AI to identify objects like charging cords and shoes. It's also the first to automatically send you a photo of the object it comes across to let you know to avoid it in the future.
The Combo j7+ is also the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up dirt and spills with ease while leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app that lets you schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't clean areas you do not want it to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off using your voice.
Its design is also a step above the competition with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robot rather than a loud, loud one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty and is ideal to reduce the time spent cleaning.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one place instead of scattering it around the floor. It even was able to catch small gravel and sand which other robots aren't able to do. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair.

While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that work with robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates and it is sometimes difficult to know if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be a hybrid. These robots come with a water tank, so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. They also have a range of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and even the capability to dry and wash mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they can be pricey at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock makes some of our favorite robot vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and although it doesn't have certain features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent choice if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save a few hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is remarkably gentle when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an ideal option for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums fall short. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is excellent too, with very little misses in corners and along walls.
Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled using a handful of buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas and alter your home map, or re-label rooms.
If you choose the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed it is done with relative ease. 3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

But the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs. This means it can get stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of your home. It's not able climb stairs as well as competitors,, and it doesn't have a dock that lets you to set up an exclusive cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.
Although it doesn't provide as many in terms of cleaning configuration options in its app or as many in-app shortcuts as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for a comprehensive robot vacuum and mop that's worth the higher price cost.
If you're looking to cut costs or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are many alternatives available. Many eufy models cost considerably less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and provides a similar in-app experience with more features, including the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and a better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.

eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums that offer the perfect combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on carpets and hard flooring, and mopping capabilities for a low cost. It's easy to set up by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to leave the dock close to an electrical outlet and ample space to allow it to move around but.
The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, which means it is able to be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is less flashy than some of the rival models, with sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in a spiral pattern for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.
